The form of these containers was influenced by ancient cooking pots which have three legs that are intended to straddle a low fire or pile of embers that provided warmth for food or drink. The ancient pots were usually a shade of brown. These feature the color red; a reference to both the color of fire and a highly heated electric kiln.
